Here is my illustration for an Italian christmas story book in collaboration with @margarethenriette the story is called “Pinashuess” and is a traditional Canadian story. the book puts together stories from all over the world translated into Italian.
This is now my third year participating with SREC (San Rafael en Corto) a local short film festival held every November in Vecindario, Gran Canaria. Here are the results of my illustration in the design of this year´s merchandise.
El 22, 23, 24, y 25 de octubre de 2020 tuvimos la oportunidad de vender láminas en el Rock and Books fest de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria gracias a la tienda de vinilos No Fun Records.
Here is this year`s design for Gran Angular Canarias for the short film festival SREC (San Rafael en Corto).
I am so happy to be able to say that my prints are being sold at an art shop in Bristol. I am sharing the space with amazing local artists in Love it Bristol, the old The Little Shop in Stokes Croft.
My friend Carlota got a tattoo of a design I did for her. This is possibly the greatest honour for an illustrator, someone getting your work tattooed. It was such a cool experience, from making it to seeing it on her. She got it done by Katia at El Bandido Tattoo in Las Palmas.
On the 29th of December I was lucky enough to participate in the monthly art market at Bodega Los Lirios in Gran Canaria. The weather and the people were amazing and it was another great opportunity to meet new and local artists. There was clothes, art prints, plants, food, decoration and music. This is my third time attending as a seller and it never disappoints, it is a great way of promoting local art and it seems that more and more people are willing to participate and come to the market.

This year I participated again with Gran Angular Canarias in the annual short film festival San Rafael en Corto (SREC). This year's theme was Art and Cinema. I was asked to illustrate a number of famous artists and I added the element of 3D glasses to combine both art and cinema in the illustration. These illustrations were then used by a designer for pamphlets, t shirts, stickers and decoration at the venue. It is always a pleasure to work with them.
Los Lirios vineyard was looking for a new image and to offer new products and experiences. I created a design inspired by the culture of the Canary Islands, specifically Gran Canaria for tote bags and t-shirts to sell to visitors and tourists. A great chance to get started in designing for someone else as I normally just draw whatever is on my mind.
This summer has been a great one for many reasons and one of them being this summer festival. It was held at a local vineyard called Bodega Los Lirios. Local artists were called to participate and showcase and sell their art. It was a wonderful chance to meet new people and to see old acquaintances who dropped by. There was home made food, music and the best atmosphere. It was also my first time selling the new tote bags and t shirts.
This festival is now a market that will be held once per month bringing together small artists and it is a great chance to get started in selling art and to do some networking. Also, look at how beautiful the place is!
I was lucky enough to get to draw on a wall at Mumbai Sunset, a local bar in Las Palmas. I have very little experience with this type of art and it helped me see the difficulties it has. I did the big drawings with chalk prior to going over them with a white Posca pen, the rest was just freestyle drawing! It took me around 2 hours to do the whole bottom half and I have yet to go back and finish the top and go over some details.
I am so happy to be able to put my work up on Mumbai Sunset, a beach bar in the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (my hometown). The help from the staff has been incredible and I am looking forward to future collaborations with them. They really help new and young artists to get exposure and to really feel at home.
I had the chance to hang up on the wall some of my illustrations at a local café (Petit Café). This place is quite special to me since I've been visiting this café for many years
This spot was created thanks to @byquikquik and @saltydrops for San Rafael en Corto 2018.
In 2018 I was lucky enough to be asked to create some illustrations for SREC (San Rafael en Corto), a short film festival in Gran Canaria. The theme was Women in Cinema and from there I did illustrations of women in all type of cinema related activities. These illustrations were then used by a designer who did the pamphlets, tote bags and t shirts that were sold at the festival. It was a great experience and the festival's theme was a really inspiring one. We didn't have much time, but I am still very happy with the results.
Not only this, but a promotional video was also made with an animation of the illustrations. Much of the work was done by @quikquik and @saltydrops.
In 2017 I participated in a short film festival from Gran Canaria by painting some of the decoration that was put in the theatre. It was a wonderful experience shared with close friends. This is a replica of Palestinian artist Nayi Al-Ali's (1938-1987) work that accompanied the documentary "700 Razones" (700 Reasons).
