December 2019
On the 29th of December I was lucky enough to participate in the monthly art market at Bodega Los Lirios in Gran Canaria. The weather and the people were amazing and it was another great opportunity to meet new and local artists. There was clothes, art prints, plants, food, decoration and music. This is my third time attending as a seller and it never disappoints, it is a great way of promoting local art and it seems that more and more people are willing to participate and come to the market. This year I participated again with Gran Angular Canarias in the annual short film festival San Rafael en Corto (SREC). This year's theme was Art and Cinema. I was asked to illustrate a number of famous artists and I added the element of 3D glasses to combine both art and cinema in the illustration. These illustrations were then used by a designer for pamphlets, t shirts, stickers and decoration at the venue. It is always a pleasure to work with them. August 2019
I was lucky enough to get to draw on a wall at Mumbai Sunset, a local bar in Las Palmas. I have very little experience with this type of art and it helped me see the difficulties it has. I did the big drawings with chalk prior to going over them with a white Posca pen, the rest was just freestyle drawing! It took me around 2 hours to do the whole bottom half and I have yet to go back and finish the top and go over some details. August 2019
I am so happy to be able to put my work up on Mumbai Sunset, a beach bar in the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (my hometown). The help from the staff has been incredible and I am looking forward to future collaborations with them. They really help new and young artists to get exposure and to really feel at home. June 2019
I had the chance to hang up on the wall some of my illustrations at a local café (Petit Café). This place is quite special to me since I've been visiting this café for many years |
